A Day at Incrix: What Actually Happens Inside a Small Technology Company
There is no typical day at Incrix, but there are typical kinds of work. Walk through the building on any given day and this is what you might find happening across software, hardware, design, studio and education.
There is no typical day at Incrix — and that is the first thing to understand about life at Incrix.
That is not a slogan — it is a staffing reality. When 15 people run five streams under one roof, the work on any given day is a mix of things that most companies would split across separate buildings: a circuit board on a bench, a pull request waiting for review, a brand system half-finished in Figma, footage waiting in an edit timeline, and a room of students waiting for a workshop to begin.
So rather than describe a schedule that doesn't exist, this piece does something more honest. It walks through the kinds of work that make up life at Incrix, stream by stream. On any given day, this is what you might find.

On the hardware bench: a PCB bring-up
On any given day, you might find one of our embedded architects bent over a freshly assembled board.
Bring-up is the moment a design stops being a schematic and becomes a physical object that either behaves or doesn't. Power rails get checked before anything else. Then the microcontroller is coaxed into talking. Then, one by one, the peripherals — relays, sensors, radios — are brought to life with small pieces of firmware written just to prove they work.
It is patient, careful work, and it sits inside a longer process we follow for every board:
The board on the bench could be one of our own — a Horizon Dev-2 C6 built around the ESP32-C6, say, or a compact Hexon Atom C6 — or it could be client work under NDA. Either way, the question being asked is the same one that drives all of Incrix Automation: will this survive the real world — patchy connectivity, unstable power, and customers who care about every rupee?
At the keyboard: a Classory feature
Across the room, on any given day, someone is probably working on Classory, our AI-powered LMS for academies, schools and coaching institutes.
The work might be a new question type for exams, an improvement to CodeLoop's in-browser coding and autograding, a tweak to how Clay, the AI assistant, answers a student, or something less visible — a change to how a workspace's data is scoped, or how video access is signed.
What makes this kind of work distinctive at Incrix is the architecture underneath it. Classory is designed serverless, for 2M+ concurrent users, and that shapes every feature decision: how it will behave under exam-day load, what it will cost to run, how it keeps one academy's data away from another's. On the design desk: a brand identity
On any given day, the branding team is probably somewhere in the middle of an identity.
That might mean early exploration — words, references, rough marks — or the slow, exacting stage where a logo becomes a system: colour, type, spacing, how it sits on packaging, a storefront, a social post and a website at once. Our branding stream has delivered more than 1000 projects for names such as A2B (Adyar Ananda Bhavan), Vadivel Fireworks and The Masters Academy, so there is always a next brief.
Design at Incrix doesn't stay in its lane, either. The same design thinking that goes into a client identity runs through product interfaces, hardware and course material too.
In the edit suite: a studio cut
On any given day, someone in the Studio is probably staring at a timeline.
The material could be an ad film, a brand film, product footage of a new board, or social content for one of our three community channels. Editing is where a lot of the invisible craft of a small company lives: finding the three seconds that explain a product, cutting a story down until only the necessary parts remain, getting the sound and colour right so the work looks as considered as the thing it is showing.
It is also where streams meet. A studio edit might feature hardware from Automation, a brand system from Branding, or a lesson from Education — and the people cutting it need to understand all three well enough to tell the story accurately.
In the classroom: a workshop for students
And on any given day, some of the team may not be in the building at all, because they are teaching.
Incrix University runs internships, webinars, workshops, value-added courses, bootcamps and faculty development programmes, across tracks from web and app development to Industry 4.0, AR/VR and design. More than 50K students have trained with us, across 10+ partner institutions.
A workshop might mean students soldering and flashing their first board using our education kits, or building their first web app, or learning how a brand is put together. What makes it distinctly Incrix is that the people teaching are, very often, the same people who build — which keeps the teaching grounded in what actually works.
